| Note 1: MIDU software consists of either a ten digit part number of the form 998-1994-xxxx or a corresponding media part number of the form 963-0700-xxx. | ||
| Note 2: MIDU software ordered for delivery to Boeing should use the 963 based media part number and not the 998 based part number. | ||
| Note 3: MIDU Display software supporting ARINC 739 display capability can be provided for Color Display capability (Default) or monochrome green or monochrome white operations. There is no additional cost for the MIDU display software and is provided as part of the MIDU system. | ||
| Note 4: Optional MIDU Radio Control Panel software is available. This is a separately priced item from the MIDU hardware. The MIDU has a VHF key, which when selected, will perform RCP functions for one ARINC 700 series radio. RCP configurations provide the various color display options as well as either 1) provide the ability to switch the radio between voice & data mode or; 2) provide the ability to both switch between voice & data mode and the ability to enter voice frequencies. | ||
| Note 5: MIDU hardware part number 964-0443-012, 964-0443-013 and all new production MIDU Hardware (all part numbers) with at least Mod Level 1, require new software part numbers, with previous part numbers obsolete. New part numbers, listed in the Current MIDU Software Configurations Table below, are compatible with all current MIDU production equipment, as well as backwards compatible for all MIDUs (including those prior to Mod Level 1). A list of the older obsolete software part numbers, and the equivalent new part numbers is listed in the Obsolete MIDU SW part number table below. | ||
| Note 6: MIDU software is loaded into the unit at the factory and the media is not normally provided to the purchaser. Airlines desiring RCP software or the monochrome (non color) display software, need to specifically identify the desired configuration on submitted purchase orders. If physical media is requested to be provided, MIDU software is delivered on PCMCIA media. Specific requests for the media are required on purchase orders. | ||
